You

You

Of all the women that I have met,
You are the most amazing yet.
Gentle mind, and loving heart.
These things set you well apart.

Astonished when I think of you,
Professor, painter, author too.
Your Joie de Vivre, and savoir-fare,
Smart and caring, debonair.

Your loveliness, beyond compare,
I sometimes want to sit and stare.
At all your movements, sensuous,
Conspicuously marvelous.

The part of you that most inspires,
Your soul of passion, filled with fire.
Each time we meet, joy starts anew
Who lights my fire Babe? Only you.

A Gift

A Gift

A stranger shows up late one eve,
Softspoken, fair, polite.
Their uttered words seem crafted
To bestow a little light.

With kindness then, this stranger does
Greet everyone they meet,
We all enjoy the words employed,
This stranger's special treat.

Suspicions rise, Who is this then?
Who fills our place with kindness?
There is no human such as this!
They're trying to beguile us!

Their motives then, we must explore
To weigh and judge and sift.
When all that kindness we enjoyed,
Was simply just a gift.

The View

The View

To stretch, to grow, to try the new.
A free heart does desire.
We add or take, from what we are,
To perfection we aspire.

To live life full, the norm we shun,
Eschew familiar roads.
For down the old accustomed path,
Routine becomes our load.

We face torment, when with our peers,
Who fear the brave or new.
Disdain falls heavy on those who
Sidestep the tried and true.

A pox on you, I choose my path!
Goes up the battle cry.
I will live life, just as I wish
Until the day I die!

No sage are you, to judge or scorn
All that I say or do
If good or bad, depends upon

The point from which you View.

To Hold

To Hold

Embrace, Support, Sustain, Caress,
A heart's mean aspiration.
Abeyance is wont to provide,
Against all life's distress.

Of pure intent, these acts lead to
A life lived in confinement.
When my true heart's only desire,
Is simply to hold you.

The Goddess

The Goddess

Reveal herself, an ardent wish,
Arising from the ashes
Calvary, love gone awry
Twas this she set to vanquish

Who is she now? Beyond her ken.
Her strength, her depth, her wisdom.
Or that it soon would be revealed
A Goddess had arisen
